Dr. Azza is currently a networking engineer and a research fellow at the University of Leeds where she is working as part of research team in optimising power efficiency in data centres and developing passive optical network architectures for future data centre architectures.

Dr. Azza is currently a PhD Candidate at the School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering – University of Leeds. Her research addresses areas of: energy efficiency and optical networks.

Prior to starting her PhD Azza was awarded an MSc. degree by the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, University of Khartoum, Sudan.

In addition, Azza is CISCO certified network associate and she also holds the position of vice-chair at the University of Leeds IEEE Student Branch.
